Multiwire gang saws are used for stone blocks cutting to produce slabs and they are replacing previous technology of the multiblade gangsaws.
In a multiwire machine the cut is performed by a set of diamond wires (wires to which synthetic diamond beads are applied) and the machine can be “fixed” or “variable”, variable one can modify the distance between wires and produce slabs in different thicknesses. Besides this difference the multiwires differ among them for the number of the diamond wires and for the thickness of the beam in the wire.
